Welcome to Skilled in AI. These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of our website, services, and platform (collectively, the "Service"). By accessing or using the Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree to these Terms, you may not access or use the Service.

1. Acceptance of Terms

By creating an account, accessing, or using Skilled in AI, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms of Service and our Privacy Policy. These Terms constitute a legally binding agreement between you and Skilled in AI.

If you are using the Service on behalf of an organization, you represent and warrant that you have the authority to bind that organization to these Terms, and "you" refers to both you individually and that organization.

Skilled in AI is a professional platform that enables users to create profile pages showcasing their AI skills, tools, projects, and professional experience. Our Service is designed to connect AI professionals with potential employers, clients, partners, and opportunities in the AI industry.

The Service includes, but is not limited to:

  • Creating and maintaining a public professional profile
  • Showcasing AI tools, skills, and project experience
  • Being discoverable by employers, recruiters, and partners
  • Connecting with opportunities in the AI ecosystem

3. User Accounts and Registration

To use certain features of the Service, you must register for an account. When you register, you agree to:

  • Provide accurate, current, and complete information
  • Maintain and promptly update your account information
  • Maintain the security and confidentiality of your login credentials
  • Accept responsibility for all activities that occur under your account
  • Notify us immediately of any unauthorized use of your account

You must be at least 18 years old to create an account. We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that contain false or misleading information.

4. User Content and License Grant

You retain ownership of the content you submit, post, or display on or through the Service ("User Content"), including but not limited to your profile information, images, project descriptions, and any other materials you provide.

By submitting User Content to Skilled in AI, you grant us a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free, sublicensable, and transferable license to use, reproduce, distribute, prepare derivative works of, display, and perform your User Content in connection with the Service and our business operations, including for the purpose of:

  • Sharing your profile and information with potential employers, recruiters, and hiring companies
  • Sharing your profile and information with business partners and collaborators
  • Promoting the Service and featuring user profiles on our social media accounts (including but not limited to Twitter/X, LinkedIn, Instagram, and other platforms)
  • Marketing and promotional materials for Skilled in AI
  • Creating compilations, directories, or showcases of AI professionals
  • Any other purpose related to operating, developing, and improving the Service

This license continues even if you stop using the Service, to the extent your User Content has been shared with third parties, incorporated into our materials, or is reasonably necessary to provide the Service.

You represent and warrant that you own or have the necessary rights to your User Content and that your User Content does not violate any third party's intellectual property rights, privacy rights, or any applicable law.

5. Public Nature of Profiles

You understand and agree that your profile on Skilled in AI is publicly accessible. This means:

  • Your profile information, including your name, photo, location, skills, projects, and any other information you provide, will be visible to anyone on the internet
  • Your profile may be indexed by search engines and appear in search results
  • Employers, recruiters, partners, and other third parties may view and use your profile information for hiring, collaboration, or other professional purposes
  • We may feature your profile on our website, marketing materials, and social media accounts

If you do not want certain information to be public, do not include it in your profile.

6. Prohibited Conduct

You agree not to engage in any of the following prohibited activities:

  • Providing false, misleading, or fraudulent information on your profile
  • Impersonating another person or misrepresenting your affiliation with any person or entity
  • Using the Service for any illegal purpose or in violation of any applicable laws
  • Harassing, abusing, or threatening other users
  • Uploading viruses, malware, or other malicious code
  • Attempting to gain unauthorized access to any part of the Service
  • Interfering with or disrupting the Service or servers
  • Scraping, data mining, or extracting data from the Service without permission
  • Using automated systems or bots to access the Service
  • Violating any third party's intellectual property or other rights

7. Intellectual Property Rights

The Service and its original content (excluding User Content), features, and functionality are and will remain the exclusive property of Skilled in AI and its licensors. The Service is protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws.

Our trademarks, logos, and service marks may not be used in connection with any product or service without our prior written consent.

8. Third-Party Links and Services

The Service may contain links to third-party websites or services that are not owned or controlled by Skilled in AI. We have no control over, and assume no responsibility for, the content, privacy policies, or practices of any third-party websites or services.

9. Disclaimer of Warranties

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED ON AN "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" BASIS WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, WHETHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED. WE DISCLAIM ALL WARRANTIES, INCLUDING IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT.

We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, secure, or error-free, or that any defects will be corrected. We do not guarantee any specific results from using the Service, including employment opportunities or business connections.

10. Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, SKILLED IN AI SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR ANY LOSS OF PROFITS OR REVENUES, WHETHER INCURRED DIRECTLY OR INDIRECTLY, OR ANY LOSS OF DATA, USE, GOODWILL, OR OTHER INTANGIBLE LOSSES RESULTING FROM YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE.

11. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless Skilled in AI and its officers, directors, employees, and agents from and against any claims, liabilities, damages, losses, and expenses, including reasonable attorneys' fees, arising out of or in any way connected with your access to or use of the Service, your User Content, or your violation of these Terms.

12. Termination

We may terminate or suspend your account and access to the Service immediately, without prior notice or liability, for any reason, including if you breach these Terms. Upon termination, your right to use the Service will immediately cease.

You may delete your account at any time by contacting us. However, certain information may be retained as required by law or for legitimate business purposes, and content that has already been shared with third parties may continue to exist.

13. Changes to Terms

We reserve the right to modify or replace these Terms at any time. If a revision is material, we will provide at least 30 days' notice prior to any new terms taking effect. Your continued use of the Service after any changes constitutes acceptance of the new Terms.

14. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the jurisdiction in which Skilled in AI operates, without regard to its conflict of law provisions.
